Finding Social Housing Social Housing are located throughout the City of London and the County of Middlesex. Information on how to make an application for housing is available here. Some of the housing services related to those provided by the Housing Division include: Housing Access Centre (HAC)
The Housing Access Centre provides information and applications for social housing programs such as Rent-geared-to-income housing, Private Non-Profit Housing, Federal Non-Profit Housing, Co-operative Housing as well as Rent Supplement or subsidized programs in the City of London and County of Middlesex region. Our client group is low-to moderate-income families, adults and young adults (16+ singles/couples) and seniors. To apply for Social Housing, you can now download and print the application forms and additional form(s) that best suit your needs. You can also call, email or drop by the Housing Access Centre for the application form. HAC administers and maintains the centralized waitlist on behalf of the housing providers. The housing providers continue to be fully responsible for their own tenant/member selection. The Housing Access Centre does not offer housing to applicants or predict or guess when you will be housed. However, you can download and view a Building Waitlist Reference Sheet that is updated every six months. This reference sheet is to give you an idea of the centralized waitlist on each social housing projects. The Housing Access Centre does not provide emergency housing. London & Middlesex Housing Corporation (LMHC)
As of January 01, 2001, the London & Middlesex Housing Authority has been renamed as the London & Middlesex Housing Corporation. LMHC is responsible for the management of public housing and rent supplement program apartments and townhouses in the City of London, Newbury and Strathroy, and apartments in Dorchester, Parkhill and Glencoe.
